Why do I make and love bears?

During my pregnancy of over fourteen years ago, I was searching for a very special teddy for my child and thereby became involved in the "bear-scene" more or less by chance.

Due to this inspiration. I decided to make this special teddy myself, without further ado. Although he looks like a "Quasimodo", immediately after this first attempt I was "infected" by the "bear-virus" to such an extent that I now classify myself as "incurable"!

My absolute love is for the simple, classical bear with a trusting, slightly squinting (but not dumblooking) facial expression.

Wy "Oz"?

"Oz" is a fantasy- or dreamland, which is described entirely in the famous fairytale "Wizard of Oz".
Similarly, my bears are developed from my dreams and imagination!

Although I use only exlusive materials of the finest quality for my creations, they are nevertheless intended not only for the collector but above all for people, who in these hectic times, harbour a child's desire in their heart for a "soulmate". This teddy should accompany you throughout your life and hence my high demands of standards and quality of workmanship.
All my teddy bear's are designed and lovingly handcrafted by myself. Their fur is made of valuable mohair, which is made from the wool of the Angora goat. This is the oldest, most valued and most natural material for the production of "soft toys". They are fitted with "Lauscha" hand-blown glass eyes and have traditional cardbord joints fastened with metal pins, which guarantee a particularily long life.
As long as the size of my bears allow, they are fitted with growlers. The filling is of either lambswool; wool mixed with glass, steel or mineral granulate or for special orders wood shavings.
As for thet teddy bear's attire, this, like any accessories, is naturally developed and individually stylized by me.

I would hope that it is self-evident that each of my creations is a unique article. Only very few styles do I produce in numbers, limited to a maximum of ten.

As testimony of this exclusivity each and every bear comes with its own certificate of authenticity.

Yours Sabine Jurzyk
